Suns add Louis Timms

The Kalamunda Eastern Suns have rounded out their MSBL roster with the signing of local 6’9” talent, Louis Timms. He returns to the Club where he played two seasons in 2013 and 2014. In his most recent campaign in a Suns’ uniform, Timms averaged 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

“It has always been a priority for me to bring players back to the Suns”, said Head Coach Michael Clarke. “I have been impressed by Louis’ athleticism and versatility since he last played for us. I am confident that he will flourish in our system and reach his exciting potential”.
Timms is recovering from a knee injury sustained while playing in the US college system, but hopes to be match-fit in time for the start of the upcoming SBL season. “I have no hesitation in backing Louis to return to his best”, said Clarke. “With a potential starting lineup of Courtney Belger, Tim Squire, Kerrod Horn, Louis Timms and Kevin Davis, we are giving ourselves a great opportunity to continue our momentum of the last two seasons”.

The Suns’ MSBL programme begins its on-court preseason sessions next week. Crowds can expect more of the fast, pressing, team basketball that has become a feature in recent years.
