MEN’S SBL PREVIEW – WEEK 2

The Round 2 Men’s SBL action got underway at Bendat Basketball Centre with the Hawks coming off a big win over the Mandurah Magic while the Eagles split their games with Rockingham and Geraldton.

Perry Lakes got on top early and controlled the contest going on to win by 24 points and that was despite a dominant display for East Perth from Jonathan Morse.

Morse finished with 38 points and eight rebounds on 14/24 shooting but no teammate scored more than Ngor Manyang’s seven points.

Shawn Redhage added 17 points and four assists for the Redbacks with Jackson Hussey contributing 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals, and Mo Barrow 13 points, 10 boards and five assists.

The Eastern Suns couldn’t quite back up their impressive home opening victory over the South West Slammers last Sunday. But big man Kevin Davis was impressive with 22 points, 17 rebounds and three steals.
