THE Round Twenty Women’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Alex Ciabattoni of the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
Though their finals position was never in doubt, the foot never came off the pedal for Ciabattoni and the Kalamunda Eastern Suns in their Round 20 clash with the South West Slammers.
In just over 38 minutes, Ciabattoni stuffed the stat sheet with 30 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, adding 3 steals and 3 blocks. The Slammers simply had no answer for Ciabattoni, who went 61%-FG and 42%-3PT, and ended the game with a +12 efficiency.
Ciabattoni finishes the 2018 season with averages of 20.3ppg, 9.1rpg and 5.5apg, firmly establishing herself as one of the premier guards in the League. A run of 4 consecutive double-double come at the perfect time for the Eastern Suns, as they turn they attention to Finals. The Eastern Suns will face the Willetton Tigers in their First Round 4v5 matchup, which commences this Saturday at Willetton Basketball Stadium.
