THE Round Thirteen Women’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Kisha Lee of the Round 1 Fitness Cockburn Cougars.

 A classic performance from Kisha Lee has earnt her POTW honours and, more importantly, a win for the Cougars in what has been a 2018 challenging season.

The Cougars just had the one fixture in Round 13, where they hosted the Joondalup Wolves in a battle between 9^th and 11^th. The last time the team met, the Cougars were defeated by 10 points, however Lee made sure that it was a different result this time around. Taking the game on her shoulders, Lee poured in 29 points on 11-19 shooting, adding 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. The Cougars went on to win 75-55, crucially covering the head-to-head between the teams.

Lee has established herself as a force in the league, averaging 21.6ppg and 9.57rpg in 2018. She has scored over 20 points on 10 of 14 occasions, including 7 double-doubles this year.

The Cougars have a few tough assignments ahead, with 4 of their next 5 games against Top 5 WSBL teams. Coach Thompson will be encouraging her players to achieve wins despite the opponent, as Cockburn sit just 1 game outside the Top 8.
