Ciabattoni posted 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in 38 minutes of play, going 40% from the field and 3-PT line. The Eastern Suns did their damage with five players in double-digit scoring, and outscoring the Flames 52-29 in the second half.
Sunday away at Warwick, the Eastern Suns grinding out another victory against the always dangerous Stirling Senators 81-72. Again, Ciabattoni was the driving force behind the Eastern Suns win, registering 23 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Crucially, across both Round 14 games Ciabattoni gave up just two turnovers in over 70 minutes of play.
The Eastern Suns have now broken free of the WSBL battle for sixth, now sitting 5th on the ladder with 11 wins and 6 losses. With no more double-headers remaining this season, the Eastern Suns now look to an assignment against the Cockburn Cougars this Saturday.
