The Cockburn Basketball Association (CBA) wishes to advise Head Coach Megan Thompson will not be returning to the Cougars State Basketball League program beyond this season. 

Thompson has made the decision to pursue a new full-time employment opportunity in West Australian basketball. 

At the helm of the women’s program for two seasons, and an assistant coach for one (2017), Thompson has embraced the Cougar Family both on and off the court. 

The Cockburn Basketball Association acknowledges the part of Cougar history head coaches play, and Thompson is proudly etched in our timeline of Cougar coaches. 

As the end of season 2019 approaches, the CBA wishes Coach Thommo all the best in the next stage of her basketball journey and will celebrate her time in the Cougar Family at Wally Hagan Stadium this Saturday night. 

The recruitment of the next Cougar Family women’s State Basketball League coach will begin now, with all queries to be directed to General Manager Tyrone Thwaites.
