THE Round Three Men’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Kevin Davis of the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
Kevin Davis continues to be a dominant force in the league, and is now rewarded with a well-deserved POTW after a strong start at his new club in 2018.
In just 28 minutes, Davis registered 30 points and 12 rebounds with 3 steals and a block in a 114-105 win against his old outfit. More impressive was Davis’ efficiency as he went 75% from the floor and 11/14 from the free-throw line. With Davis on the court, the Eastern Suns were +26.
Impressively, Davis was able to hold Eagles import Jonathan Morse to just 13 points in the contest, far from his average of 27.3 points.
Coach Clarke will no doubt be happy with how the team has performed in 2018, still awaiting the arrival of import Courtney Belger. Davis and the Eastern Suns now turn their attention to a double-header weekend against Lakeside and Geraldton, in what will be a good litmus test for their reasonable start to the season (2-2).
