Nener and Cougars part ways

The Cockburn Basketball Association (CBA) would like to advise men’s head coach Adam Nener is not returning to the Cougar Family in 2020.

Nener has been at the helm of the men’s program for three seasons and has made the decision to not renew his contract beyond 2019.

In his first season at the club, Nener proudly guided the program to the playoffs, with his commitment to the Cougar Family never wavering.

Nener spent his time at the CBA bringing out the best in Cougar athletes, with two runner-up State basketball League Most Valuable Player’s (Field and Billups) in his care while he was head coach.

NENER PROVES COACHING CREDENTIALS IN TOUGH COUGARS ENVIRONMENT

Not only has Nener represented the CBA as head coach, but on the court as well. This dynamic allowed him to have a passionate understanding of what it means to be a Cougar.

In true Nener fashion, he does not want a fuss. It’s never been about him; it’s been about the players.

The CBA is thankful for the contribution made to our family and wishes Nener all the best in his next chapter.

The recruitment of the next Cougar Family men’s State Basketball League coach is commencing now, with all queries to be directed to General Manager Tyrone Thwaites.
